• Blooper: When the game was first released, the Bed Bug entry had an image of green shield bug, which was obviously the wrong image for that entry. This has been fixed in a later version of the game.
• Cross-Dressing Voices: As most of the voice actors played more than one character, some male characters such as Jules & Howard are voiced by voice actresses.
• The Other Marty: Between the demo and final game, some actors (either voice or portrait) were changed overtime.
  • Hank had a more deep Southern voice in the demo, but has a younger voice in the final.
  • Hunnigan was depicted as a young adult with white/blonde hair, but she is now depicted a bit older with long black hair. Her face is reused for Brittany.
• Release Date Change: The game was originally going to be released in November 6 2023, but was pushed to January 16 2024. Nick Lives has stated that it was changed to avoid having to compete with larger 2023 launches like RoboCop: Rogue City and games discounted in the holiday sales, and to reach a wider audience in the then-upcoming Day of the Devs showcase event.
• What Could Have Been:
  • The game was originally called as "1-800-BESTIARY", but the creator didn't know on what to do with it and had it in the backburner for a few years until after 2022. The game was later re-titled "Lunar Archives" as it more resembled the final game, but previously had to deal with both monsters and aliens. This was changed as the creator felt it wasn't scary enough.
  • The original game over screen was just Carol firing the player and erasing their memories working there. It was changed after the "Promotion" ending was written to be more whimsical to fit with the setting.
