- A lot of the later hazards, such as False Artifacts that swallow up children and leaves them to slowly starve while blocking all their screams, Fae Flu that causes the victim's face to collapse into a mass of holes, and boggarts that can track down and kill anyone who refers to them by any name.
- The Dorcha in particular is a terrifying case of Nothing Is Scarier. What does it do? It delivers you. What does that mean? No clue - all that's known is, once it "delivers" you you're gone forever, and once it's picked you as a target there's nothing you can do. Loved ones are "advised to grieve".
- Whistling Fungi seem rather amusing and comical, being "singing" mushrooms with an audio cue that's rather pleasant and whimsical. However, it's mentioned that if they start "singing" in harmony, the owner must evacuate the home immediately and never return for any reason. It's never explained why this must be done - unless you fail to aid Carla with her Whistling Fungus infestation. If this happens, all you'll hear from her during her callback the next day is indiscernible and strained groaning while an ominous whistle plays in the background.
- Fridge Horror dawns when you realize that most of these can't actually be dealt with: Fae Flu is incurable, False Beets can't be removed, Hobbs and Spriggans can't be driven off, and False Artifacts aren't noticeable until they've already killed. For every person you help on the hotline, there's someone who was doomed to die or worse before you even picked up the phone.
- The calls themselves range from unnerving to horrifying. The Mirror-Nymph victim sobbing incoherently down the phone that "it stole me" stands out in particular. There's also the call from a crying man who can't remember his wife's face due to Memory Wisps. Follow-up calls are even worse, with things like a man saying his husband was following the Night Wisps to his doom, or the woman begging you to make the doctors "give my children back" after her kids ingested Wood Secretions and turned into wood. And these ones are your fault.
