  • Daniel Butler plays Earl, Willie the robot, and Ernest's tongue.
  • Jackie Welch plays Mrs. Simon Simmonds and Coo.
• Follow the Leader: Hey Vern, It's Ernest! was clearly meant to cash in on the success of another CBS Saturday morning series, Pee-wee's Playhouse, as both shows had a lead who was known for film and other things prior to the shows debuts.
