• Actor Allusion:
  • Look at Haruhi's face and tell me that isn't Konata! Aya Hirano's tone of voice in Haruhi-chan is even similar to Konata's!
    • It stretches to the English dub, where Wendee Lee is essentially using her Konata voice.
  • Yuki Nagato sings Ga-Rei -Zero-'s "Paradise Lost" by Minori Chihara at the end of Episode 6. She also plays Kagura Tsuchimuya in that series.
  • Achakura holding an umbrella to open a door is a reference to Rozen Maiden, seeing as Natsuko Kuwatani is also Suiseiseki. And hearing her say DESU~ really reminds people of Suiseiseki, DESU~.
• Ascended Fanfic: Nyoron Churuya-san started out as a series of doujinshi comics posted online. The comics would later be professionally published in Comp Ace, and eventually officially animated by Kyoto Animation with the original voice cast.
