• Cast the Expert: Goldine's competitors were played by actual athletes. Of course, Susan Anton was not an actual athlete, so they had to slow down to enable her to win the races.
• Deleted Role: Jessica Walter apparently played a character named Melody in this film, but she's nowhere to be seen in the final product, and she's not even listed in the credits. Most likely, she was in the additional scenes that were filmed for the NBC extended cut.
