- Author's Saving Throw: A scene where Elder Kinegar gives anti-Mormon literature to a waitress was removed because the creators thought it would ruin the character by making him unrelatable. Indeed, while many Mormon missionaries go through a Crisis of Faith at some point during their missions, most don't go the extra step of actively handing out anti-Mormon materials.
- Descended Creator: Richard Dutcher, the film's director and writer, stars as Elder Dalton.
- No Budget: The film was shot with a very small budget and no sets. They never got permits to film at certain locations, and one time they got fined for doing so.
- What Could Have Been: In the DVD commentary, Richard Dutcher says he was subliminally trying to imply that Elder Dalton and Sister Monson would have gotten together if Dalton had survived.
