• Streisand Effect: Ms. Li's attempts to take down Daria's website about all the corruption at Lawndale High only serve to alert more students to its existence.
• What Could Have Been: Charles mentioned in Chapter 42 "Combat Rock" that the story was meant to go all the way to the finale of Daria, but realized things had gotten out of hand and decided to end the story prematurely on a metaphorical high note. He would mention in the coda chapter that his original plan would have seen Jake die of a heart attack, which is what occurs in the coda.
