- No Export for You: Despite Nintendo's heavy involvement in the game's production, with Shigeru Miyamoto and other producers giving regular feedback, Geist was never released in Japan.
- Similarly Named Works: Geist was also the Working Title of the original Gears of War, where it would've been the name of the antagonistic Locust horde. The name changes in this case was directly to avoid referencing this game.
