- Official Fan-Submitted Content: Aloe's portrayal and Kenji Tensei replacing the Scarlet Spider were both suggested by a commenter.
- Reality Subtext:
- There is a mention of Calliope Mori's counterparts between Earth-16063 and 13166 being polar opposites (16063's Calli is a Dreadful Musician but also an upstanding member of society, while 13166's Calli is more talented but also a terrible person.) This draws obvious parallels to her real-world reception, which, while not drawing a direct correlation between her talent and her personality, is infamously polarizing.
- Grimbo's abandonment by his family reflects how his original concept was also abandoned by his creators in real life.
- Kenji's immaturity and implicitly low reputation are for the most part a standard Take That! towards his universe, but also reflects how it was such a royal embarrassment to his owners that all primary traces of Earth-13166's original scripting were expunged from the internet to the point of the remaining archive data becoming untraceable to any one specific person.
- Referenced by...: A version of the story's events that ends prematurely in The X's capture is explored in a side chapter of Sonic: Into, Across and Beyond!. This webcomic's creator later confirmed it to be an entire Alternate Continuity of Funkinverse and its story.
- Shrug of God: The same comment that confirms the Corruption as Venom's counterpart also implicitly refuses to answer if Funkinverse treats the popular fan theory of Peni's Cynicism Catalyst being Addy Brock and VEN#M like in the original Spider-Verse as canon. It's later revealed, however, that Aloe did encounter the Corruption, but is the only member of the Funkin' Gang to do so, with any casualties left unmentioned. Furthermore, while it was also revealed Cyan was somehow killed off at some point, the circumstances of his death are unclear, as it makes him a Composite Character between Gwen's Peter Parker and Addy herself. Updates to the lore doc would finally clarify that it was not one single incident, but rather multiple nondescript blows (implied to be the sudden appearance of Boyfriend's rivals in general, which Earth-16063 would not be equipped to handle without Aloe) that did her psyche in.
- What Could Have Been:
- Aloe's role was briefly taken by Lexi, until being dropped for lack of recognition. Aloe was later suggested to take back the slot using the Fridge Logic of the Deltarune bonus content in her home universe.
- Hank's human identity was originally Connor, but was changed to Speedz as it was more thematically appropriate with Tsuraran and Maqua being Salty's guardians.
- Spider-Rex's role was originally filled in by Friend.FLA, before being moved to Kaiju Boyfriend.
- Romantic Boyfriend was supposed to be Ezekiel Simms/Spider-Therapist (the explanation being that he was a temp worker on shift for that scene while Soft Boyfriend/Benjamin Fairest was away), but the current character list indicates Ben was cycled back in at some point. Romantic Boyfriend is still a Canon Foreigner background character, though; the new explanation is that Ben decided to take another crack at dealing with the distressed Spidey's counterpart (who in this continuity is a repeat customer and the only Boyfriend Ben doesn't like) instead of shirking it to Romantic.
- Boyfriend's "bully Maguire" phase was originally supposed to be a potshot at AmorAltra through Vs Bob And Bosip, where he'd shoot Amor in the head as an act equivalent to Peter's awkward dancing.note It was replaced with unadulterated footage of "Personal Space Invasion" from Vs Brightside for being a bit too on the nose.
- Word of Gay: Barring orientations and gender identities held over from the original works:
- Salty and Cam/Blueballs are both trans men, with Salty also being bisexual.
- Gracie is pansexual.
- Word of God:
- The Spoodermen's universe is the one depicted in "Faucet," with Boof taking the place of the original Spoderman.
- Takuya Yamashiro's counterpart is Cerbera (not his appearance in Bob and Bosip, but the charter's current Author Avatar.)
- The Corruption is the counterpart of the Symbiote/Venom.
- The full list of canon characters lost to Cam's canon event theory is as follows: Speedz (Salty), Ninjamuffin (Keith Ethans), Parker (Ourple Pico, Brooke), Mickey (Toon Boyfriend), Cyan (Aloe), Sen (Gracie), Porker Lewis (Mobian Boyfriend), Girlfriend (Cam/Blueballs), Neko (Judith), and Skarlet (D-Sides Boyfriend.)
