• Creator Backlash:
  • Jessica Alba absolutely hated working on the film so much that it almost made her quit acting altogether.
  • Chris Evans wasn't so crazy about working on the film either.
  • Doug Jones didn't think highly of Rise of the Silver Surfer either, particularly director Tim Story and for having his voice dubbed over by Laurence Fishburne in post-production.
• Executive Meddling: Tom Rothman demanded that Galactus' appearance be changed, as he thought that his original design was "too silly" and "comic booky".
• Franchise Killer: The Silver Surfer spinoff never happened. Rise of the Silver Surfer also halted the film franchise as a whole for eight years until Fox tried to reboot it in 2015, which became a completely different story.
• The Other Marty: Doug Jones was going to voice the Silver Surfer but his voice was dubbed over by Laurence Fishburne in post production.

• The Other Darrin: None of the actors from the film reprised their roles in the Rise of the Silver Surfer game.
