• Franchise Killer: Fable III was the game that killed the series. Between the more critical reception of it than past games, and growing resentment towards Peter Molyneux over his Lying Creator nature in the eyes of the gaming sphere, the series never recovered from the third game, being stuck in spinoff titles until Fable: The Journey definitively killed the series for good. Although a new title is in the works, the series, outside of re-releases of older games, has been quiet for over six years.
