Trivia / Evil Con Carne

Go To

  • Accidentally-Correct Writing: Hector's Stomach is basically his second brain. By 2019, it is confirmed that the stomach is a human's second brain.
  • Acting for Two: Armin Shimerman voices both Skarr and Stomach.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Armin Shimerman voiced the feminine stomach of Hector.
  • Descended Creator: Maxwell Atoms voiced both Cod Commando and Professor Death Ray Eyes.
  • Fake Nationality: Hector, who is Mexican, is voiced by Phil LaMarr, who is African-American.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Grim & Evil in its original format. While every individual episode is easily available in the repackages of this show and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy after both split up, it's very difficult to find Grim & Evil itself (possibly a result of this), and additional Mandy intros that weren't reused for the standalone Billy & Mandy series became rare. This is even moreso the case of the unaired third season, as it only properly aired as G&E in international countries. While the entirety of G&E was at one point made available through VOD services in 2017 (including the unaired third season, where it finally saw release), it was quietly removed in 2019.
  • Non-Singing Voice: Robert Picardo does the singing voice of Cod Commando in the episode "The Pie Who Loved Me" rather than Maxwell Atoms.
  • The Other Darrin: Jesse Corti voiced Boskov in the pilot. The rest of the series had him voiced by Frank Welker.
  • Playing with Character Type: Grey DeLisle voices an affable villain.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Boskov was originally going to be a gorilla named Bosko.
    • In his interview with RebelTaxi, Maxwell Atoms states that he had ended Evil Con Carne of his own accord in favor of working on The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy shortly after the two shows split from Grim and Evil. He found working on two totally different shows to be stressful, and the network allowed him to make the judgement call himself due to both shows having similar ratings.
  • Written by Cast Member: "Hector, King Of The Britons", was co-written by Grey DeLisle, Phil LaMarr, Armin Shimmerman, Rosalind Ayres, and Greg Ellis. Word of God confirms that the episode was largely improv between the actors.
