• What Could Have Been: Look at the "Chicks and America" catchphrase, the "USA Guy" promos online, and the Twitter background◊ of him in patriotic ring gear with the words "Conservative with his Words, Liberal with his Fists." It's entirely likely Derrick Bateman was meant to be the "Real American" instead of Jack Swagger, and the gimmick was tweaked and transferred after Bateman fell out of favor with the company^note most likely due to something related to Bill DeMott and was later released.
