• California Doubling: It's set in Florida, but filmed in Savannah, Georgia. Solms Hall at Georgia Southern University's Armstrong Campus in town (formerly Armstrong State University) is conspicuously used for exterior shots of the school.
• Dawson Casting: Even by Lifetime standards, an extreme case, with Ellie, who as a high school senior would be 17 or 18, played by Catharine Daddario, who was 29 at the time. Since Daddario falls in the Older Than They Look category, it usually works (there are a few shots where Lydia and Elle look more like sisters than mother-and-daughter, though).
• Tyop on the Cover: Catharine Daddario's first name is spelled "Catherine" in the opening credits.
