- Crossdressing Voices: The younger boys, namely Dito (at least in the Japanese version) and Mikhail, are voiced by women.
- Playing Against Type: Maaya Uchida mostly voices cute young girls, while Tara Platt mostly voices elegant and refined Ladies of War. Zero... ain't.
- What Could Have Been: An early pitch of the game would have had it been named Drakengard 4, it would have been set in modern times, have the main protagonist summon her dragon via cellphone, and be about trying to uncover what exactly happened in the nonexistent third game. Accord's involvement seems to be all that remains of this concept, and the vague details of the games idea suggest it would have been closer to a prequel to Nier.
