Trivia / Doctor Who 2005 CiNS "Doctor Who: Children in Need"

Go To

  • Wag the Director: David Tennant requested that his character be credited as "The Doctor" (as had been the case from 1982 to 1996) rather than "Doctor Who" (used from 1970 to 1981 and briefly revived during the previous season) from this story onward, as it was incorrect in the context of the show's canon, paralleling his main influence and future father-in-law Peter Davison's request when he took on the role of the Fifth Doctor.
  • What Could Have Been: A deleted line established that the Tenth Doctor's Cockney accent was a result of him mentally imprinting on Rose's accent during his regeneration. Until someone pointed out that using that logic, the Second Doctor should also have had a Cockney accent, and the Sixth Doctor should have an American accent.note
