Trivia / Daraku Tenshi: The Fallen Angels

• Development Hell: Zerodiv announced the Director's Cut of the game in 2019 and even showed off some progress at an arcade expo, but there's been radio silence since then. It does have a listing on Ex-Arcadia's website but with the release date being TBA as of 2023.
• Dummied Out: A lot. Not just the four unused characters but also several pieces of art that were intended to be part of a larger, more elaborate arcade mode story as well as unused sound files and graphics of some Working Title cards.
• Troubled Production: Team member Hajime Ito detailed a bit of what happened during production in a now archived blog. With the main reason for the game being in the state it was on release was a halved production time.
• What Could Have Been:
  • As mentioned above, Daraku Tenshi was planned to have an extensive story for each of the characters, including the four that ultimately went unused. One notable part of this plan was that Trigger would have served as a mid-boss as opposed to being right before Carlos.
  • Yuiran was at one point, intended to be male. As seen in Concept Art left in the game files. Said art also shows a non-crossdressing prototype of Yuiren.
