  • Completely Different Title: The game was originally released in Japan as Dobutsu Banchou ("Animal Ringleader")
  • Creator Killer: The critical and commercial failure of this game led to co-developer Saru Brunei shuttering and ended the careers of two of the game's lead developers.
  • He Also Did: Co-designer Gabin Ito also served as a story writer for the PaRappa the Rapper series.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Good luck finding a way to play this legally, as neither Nintendo nor Atlus re-released this game in any fashion and an original copy costs an upwards of $750.note
  • Moved to the Next Console: It was originally developed for the 64DD, an add-on to the Nintendo 64 that played games on rewritable magnetic disks similar to zip disks. When the add-on failed, the game was moved to the standalone N64 before eventually being shifted to and released on the Nintendo GameCube. And it shows.
  • Network to the Rescue: When the game bombed in Japan, Nintendo dropped any plans for a North American release. Then, Atlus stepped in and picked up the game for localization and publishing.
  • No Export for You: Like many Atlus games, it never got a European release.
