• Approval of God: The official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel has praised A Very Merry Christmas with Sonic via a comment, finding it to be a beautiful ending. They have also added the video to their fan spotlight playlist, which is for fan projects they found to be amazing.
• Creator Backlash: In the 10 year anniversary stream, Steve and Rihanna mention that they consider the scene with Sonic and Amy in the bedroom from the original Christmas with Sonic this, saying that in retrospect it's gross.
• He Also Did: Creator Balena Productions is also behind Sonic in Jaws and Sonic Zombie, among many other videos.
• The Other Darrin:
  • In Christmas with Sonic in Paradise, some of Silver's voice lines are voiced by Steve instead of Alexander the Swell, as he was too sick to preform all of his lines.
  • In the first few episodes, Knuckles and Shadow were voiced by Nastyplot, who, according to Steve during the 10th anniversary stream, completely vanished from the Internet after Yet Another Christmas with Sonic, so their voices were replaced by Hangmanforhire and Kaggyba respectively, with the latter eventually voicing both.
• Screwed by the Lawyers: Silver's introduction scene in Yet Another Christmas with Sonic was muted due to copyright issues with the background music.
• Schedule Slip: A common issue Steve faced making the series was having them ended up being Christmas Rushed to not miss the holiday season deadline, which ended up being a major reason the series ended at A Very Merry Christmas With Sonic. The episode was supposed to come out in 2019, but they missed the deadline and pushed it back to the holiday season of 2020.
• What Could Have Been: During the 10 year anniversary stream a few interesting details were revealed.
  • The series was originally intended to be a sequel to The OMG most Original fanfic Idea EVER, with one draft featuring Sonic, Sonia and Manic as kids. The idea was scrapped and Christmas with Sonic was made instead, though there are a few references to the draft of Sonic and his siblings as kids in the first one, such as Sonia being given a hairdryer as a present, as the draft included them playing with a hairdryer.
  • Scrapped episodes ideas included spending Christmas at Shadow's house and turning into a parody of Home Alone, and the gang going to Europe (Which is somewhat referenced in the final episode where Amy admires the Eiffel Tower and longs to visit).
  • The second episode was supposed to be them going to Hawai'i, but it ended up being scrapped for Another Christmas with Sonic, with the plot of them going to Hawai'i being retooled into Christmas with Sonic in Paradise. This is lampshaded when the narration at the start mentions that Sonic and Tails planned on going vacation there, but plans change and the writers suck.
  • In Another Christmas With Sonic they actually WERE going to parody Frosty The Snowman but ultimately cut it for time
  • Silver and Blaze were meant to become a couple. Word of God says it still happened, but it's far more subtle than what Steve and Rihanna originally wanted.
• Write Who You Know: According to Steve in the 10th anniversary stream, Stan was inspired by his own abusive father who had walked out on him and only came back when Steve got popular on YouTube, like Stan did in Christmas with Sonic Reunion.
