- Cross-Dressing Voices: Chilly Willy is male. His original voice actress was Sara Berner (1912-1969). A number of subsequent entries into his series were voiced by Grace Stafford (1903-1992) and Bonnie Baker (1917-1990). Averted in the shorts where Willy is voiced by Daws Butler (1916-1988).
- Long-Runners: The theatrical short series lasted for 19 years. Not bad, though nowhere near the 32-years of constant appearances for Woody Woodpecker.
- Spoiled by the Cast List: A surprise cameo by Woody Woodpecker in Chilly Chums is spoiled because his voice actress, like many cartoons starring the character, is listed SPECIFICALLY as the voice of that character.
