• Actor-Shared Background: Like Aurora, Vanessa Hessler is from Rome and has American ancestry. Unlike Aurora, her father, John, is an American from Washington, D.C., while Aurora's mother is the American, from Boston.
• Fake American: Ms. Cooper is played by a Czech actress.
• Re-Cut: Many foreign dubs of the film cut out the opening with the characters as children. Cinehouse released an English dub online as a miniseries that cuts the movie even further, but the full English dub is technically uncut.
• Same Language Dub: The original film was shot in English^note The director was Canadian., but the eventual English release was dubbed, likely due to some of the actors being uncomprehensible in the original. For comparison's sake, the original trailer showcases some of the actors' actual voices. Oddly enough, some of the original voices don't seem to be dubbed over.^note Natalia Wörner doesn't seemed to have been dubbed, causing the Wicked Stepmother Irene to have an unexplained German accent. Given that Aurora's voice changes even in-between lines, even some of Vanessa Hessler's dialogue seems to have been dubbed over too.
• What Could Have Been: The producers desperately wanted Betty White to play Ms. Cooper.
