  • Celebrity Voice Actor:
  • Creator Couple: Elizabeth Perkins portrayed Carolyn Brody and her husband, Julio Macat, was the director of photography for the first film.
  • Direct to Video: Cats & Dogs 3: Paws Unite! was released this way in most of the world due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Only the UK and Australia saw it theatrically released.
  • Fake Nationality:
    • Glenn Ficarra is an American, and he provides the voice of the evil Russian-accented cat who breaks into the Brody home.
    • Texas-born actor Charles Howerton plays an uncredited role as a German Shepherd at the Dog World HQ, who, appropiately enough, has a German accent.
    • Veteran voice actors Billy West and Danny Mann, both of them American, voice some of Mr. Tinkles' ninja cats, who are, once again, Asian breeds with appropriate accents.
    • Friedrich, from the second movie, is a German played by an American, a Fred Armisen specialty.
    • Also from the sequel, Michael Beattie and Jeff Bennett, Canadian and American-born voice actors respectively, provide the voices for the two Scottish tabby mercenaries, Angus and Duncan MacDougall.
  • The Other Darrin: Lou, Butch and Calico all have new voice actors for the second movie:
  • Pet Fad Starter: The first film helped boost Beagle sales.
  • Saved from Development Hell: The sequel was intended for release in 2005. After some story rewrites, it was finally released in 2010 instead.
  • Sequel Gap: A 9-year one between the original and The Revenge of Kitty Galore. Then Paws Unite! followed 10 years later.
