Trivia / Carlene Moore

Go To

  • Creator Couple: She and husband Rodney Mack teamed together as part of Theodore Long's Thuggin & Buggin Enterprises.
  • Executive Meddling: She was prepared to continue working through her second injury, but the company insisted she take time off TV and wrote in her being taken out of a battle royal without being eliminated.
  • Playing Against Type: Jazz commented on how different it was for WWE to have her as a heel, as she had primarily been a face in ECW. She was a heel for her entire WWE tenure, even going against Mickie James in the ECW revival. That had more to do with the Mickie being unable to maintain heel heat, though, as all ECW alums besides Jazz got face pops at the "Head To Head" event and Mickie's official face turn hadn't happened yet.
  • Promoted Fangirl: She cited Jacqueline as her inspiration to pursue a career in wrestling.
  • Real Life Writes the Hairstyle: She was suffering from some medical issues in 2019 and this was affecting her hair (she says she had worn weaves "for the last twenty years"), so her husband suggested she shave it all off. Thus she showed up in AEW bald.
  • Real Life Writes the Plot:
    • A variation of writing someone else's storyline. Jazz's sudden injury meant that Molly Holly had to be turned heel to give Trish Stratus someone to feud with.
    • She took a shoulder injury while in a tag match in 2003, again while Women's Champion. As a result, she was defending her title in a battle royal and set up to be removed from the ring after getting knocked out. This wrote her off TV, and Fit Finlay was hoping it would set up a return angle for her - as she was not technically eliminated. This however was never followed up on.
  • Screwed by the Network: Claims that she was told her segments with Trish Stratus were drawing some of the highest ratings in WWE at the time, and the higher-ups didn't like that, hence the eventual burial of the women's division. She was also flown out to do the scanning to have an action figure made - but it never came out, and neither did any other merch for her.
  • Throw It In!: In her debut for WWE at the 2001 Survivor Series, she had no idea what to do for her entrance and panicked - doing a similar pose to Booker T on the stage. He was apparently waiting backstage to ask her about it after the match.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Her spot in the Six-Pack Challenge at Survivor Series was meant for WWE Tough Enough winner Nidia Guenard. However they decided it would be too confusing for Nidia to debut in the Alliance on the last night of the angle - so the spot was given to Jazz because of her history with ECW.
    • Lita was being groomed as the one to feud with Jazz after WrestleMania in 2002. The night after the PPV, Lita was the one who picked up the win in a tag match, effectively swapping Trish out for her as the top face. But Jazz's ACL injury and Lita's broken neck meant that Trish became Women's Champion again.
    • Jacqueline claims in her shoot interview that she was pushing for WWE to put her and Jazz in a tag team.
    • In her 2003 return, she was told that she and Victoria would feud after WrestleMania XIX. This however was changed so that Trish won the title at Mania, and Jazz then won it off her the next month at Backlash.
    • TNA were hoping to sign her in 2008, debuting her as a bodyguard for The Beautiful People, but she was pregnant at the time and the spot went to Mickie Knuckles instead. She initially planned to join TNA immediately after giving birth, but opted to take time off to raise her twin daughters.
    • She was supposed to have defended the NWA World Women's Championship at NWA The Crockett Cup 2019. However, she had to forfeit the title due to injuries and family issues, so Allysin Kay defeated Santana Garrett for the vacated title.
