• The Danza: As "Captain Lou Murano" in the 1986 wrestling movie Body Slam.
• Executive Meddling: A positive example, as apparently it was Bruno Sammartino who gave Vince McMahon Sr. the idea to turn Albano from a wrestler to a manager, as Albano was a better talker than he was a wrestler.
• He Also Did: Managed the rock band NRBQ.
  • He also did an anti-drug PSA wearing his Mario hat, as well both as an anti-stealing PSA, and a "don't play with guns and knives" PSA in full costume.^note And apparently in character, despite being referred to by his real name.
• I Am Not Spock: As one half of the "Sicilians" tag team, he got chased out of town by a real-life mob family. Lou hurriedly changed his gimmick to "Goofball Pirate" after that.
