- Cross-Dressing Voices: Link is voiced by Caitlyn Bairstow.
- Executive Meddling: An instant of this in a positive direction. Brace Yourself Games originally sought out permission to just use The Legend of Zelda characters as Nintendo-exclusive DLC for Crypt Of The Necrodancer. Nintendo ended up being so enamored with the idea however, allegedly thanks to Eiji Aonuma being a big fan of the game, that they encouraged BYG to expand the idea into a full-blown sequel/crossover title.
- Line to God: So far, Brace Yourself Games has hosted three Q&A twitch streams where fans asked questions while the developers played the game live. Recordings of them can be viewed here, here, and here.
- Promoted Fan Boy: Both FamilyJules and Adrisaurus are well-known Nintendo fans, and actually got to compose a lot of the music for the game.
- What Could Have Been: To accompany their Surfer Dude makeover, the game's Zora-related areas were intended to have Surf Rock music. The musical style was cut, but the Zora still retained the surfer aesthetic because "it's cool".
