  • Fans of the show, in general, are called "ghouligans".
  • Shane coined the term "Shaniacs" for fans like himself who don't believe in the paranormal.
  • Ryan then decided to nickname his own fanbase. He went through several terms before settling on Boogaras for the fans who believe in the paranormal, and the evidence the duo collects.
  • “Shitfish” is derisively used for people who can’t decide between and/or believe in both Ryan’s and Shane's way of thinking when it comes to the paranormal. As of the USS Yorktown Q&A, this term has been officially renamed "Reeders", after the guest of that video Reed.
• The Other Darrin: Buzzfeed Unsolved was originally presented by Ryan and Brent who was replaced with Shane in "The Secret Society of the Illuminati".
• Troubled Production: They’ve talked a little about the Island Of The Dolls going badly (thanks to shitty humans, to clarify), enough that they were apparently both scared they were going to die, and Ryan expanded in a Watcher Weekly Plus that they have "we’re getting scammed!" as an in-joke as a reminder that any current situation isn't as bad as that one.
• The Pete Best: Ever since the web show’s popularity exploded as a result of Shane coining the "demons" meme, newer fans rewatching the series from the beginning become confused by Brent’s presence in the early episodes and express their preference for Shane over him.
