• What Could Have Been: According to the Sega CD outtakes, among the character types being considered were an ape with a katana, a beaver, a dragon, a gorilla, and some sort of sasquatch-like monster. The setting was also imagined as something much more modern, as a scene of Kung-Fu Bunny and (an early take on) Rhei Rat has them fighting inside a house's kitchen, with the characters able to leap onto the countertop and table.
