Trivia / Bob Rivers

Go To

  • Sleeper Hit: His first Christmas album, Twisted Christmas in 1987, was released in an era when a Christmas-themed comedy album was a real rarity, and especially spurred on by frequent radio airplay for "The Twelve Pains of Christmas", it surprisingly became a steady seller that eventually sold enough to go gold.
  • In The 12 Pains of Christmas, Robert Ellis Orrall is the "rigging up the lights" guy. Bob River's older son Keith was the child whining in the song, and his one and a half year old, Andrew, provided the cry later in the song, which was achieved by holding a candy bar just out of his reach.
