  • Channel Hop: For the UK version. It started on ITV via Central, then moved to Sky One from 1994 to 1995 (still with Bob Holness and produced by Central; Central kept it on their local schedule during this time). 1997 saw BBC2 revive the show with Michael Aspel at the helm and adults playing. 2000 saw the return of the show to Sky One, now with Liza Tarbuck as host and teenagers playing once more. Sky-owned Challenge TV then revived it again in 2012, again with adult contestants as All-New Blockbusters; this time Simon Mayo hosted. Most recently the show was revived for the British version of Comedy Central in 2019, with Dara Ó Briain as emcee.
  • Hey, It's That Sound!: The original Bonus Round timer was recycled on Classic Concentration.
  • Screwed by the Network:
    • Allegedly, the reason the Cullen run was cancelled was not because of ratings (CBS Daytime reruns of Alice weren't really much of a threat), but because NBC wanted to boost their two struggling daytime soaps in The Doctors and Texas. Both were gone after New Year's Eve 1982.
    • Allegedly, the Rafferty run was just time filler for NBC until Classic Concentration was ready.
  • Technology Marches On:
    • When the UK version first started, all contestants received a dictionary (later an encyclopedia). When the 2012 version came along, all contestants won an E-book reader.
    • Much like Classic Concentration after it, the Rafferty version updated the board with computer graphics.
