• Fake American: Chris Hemsworth (Australian) as Nicholas Hathaway.
  • Fake Nationality: Wang Leehom as Chen Dawai (Chinese) and Andy On as HKPF officer Alex Trang (Hong Kong Chinese). Both are American of Taiwanese heritage.
• Box Office Bomb: Budget: $70 million. Box office: $19,652,057. It was quickly pulled from theaters after just three weeks.
• Creator Backlash: Chris Hemsworth was unsatisfied with his own performance in this movie, saying that "It just felt flat, and it was also an attempt to do what I thought people might have wanted to see. But I don’t think I’m good in that space."
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: The director's cut, widely considered a vast improvement over the theatrical cut, has never received a home video release and has only publicly surfaced from a handful of TV airings, a few festivals screenings, and a very brief release on Direc TV's streaming service. As a result, the only way to watch it is to track down bootleg recordings of the TV airing.
  • Network to the Rescue: Fortunately, Arrow Video announced in August 2023 that they had located the director’s cut and will be including it on their Blu-Ray release in November.
