• Fake Scot: To reiterate; in Japan, Terry McScotty was actually named as Tsubame Tsubakura. His Scottish accent and name are only present in the English dubbed anime; and all evidence in the original manga points to him, in fact, as being Indo-Japanese. It's actually discussed in the anime, however. When meeting his parents at their home, Terry reminisces on his childhood. He states that "even his accent was enhanced and practised in order to confuse and distract his opponents"; and using it whenever speaking "keeps him mindful of his training."
