• Acting for Two: Maurice Lamarche returns as Balto, but he also voices the bull moose, whom Balto tries to talk out of a fight (to no avail). Lamarche also voices the second bull moose that comes to fight the first one, with the two trash-talking each other first.
• The Other Darrin: Like with the previous film, Maurice LaMarche and Jodi Benson respectively voice Balto and Jenna.
• What Could Have Been: According to Phil Weinstein, Steele was originally set to appear as one of the volunteers helping Balto and his son, Kodi, find and rescue Duke—this would indicate that Steele was intended to perform a Heel–Face Turn and change his ways.
