• Acting for Two: When Mira goes to Earth and meets Dan's mom. Alyson Court voices both. Also, Julie Lemieux, Ron Pardo and ESPECIALLY Dan Petronijevic voice sufficiently many characters that there's bound to be at least one example for each.
• Cash-Cow Franchise: An obvious trope considering how they promote a lot of the monsters once. It's also TMS's fourth (alongside Anpanman, Case Closed and Lupin III).
• Cowboy Be Bop At His Computer:
  • Some Mechtanium Surge episodes had incorrect synopses on US TV listings. They implied that Paige and Rafe would be returning and that Wiseman was really Emperor Barodious.
  • Some VOD listings for the episode "Countdown to Doomsday" incorrectly state that the outcome of the battle between Mechtavius Destroyer and Dragonoid Destroyer hinged on the latter's loyalty to the Brawlers as Mechtavius Destroyer attempted to lure him to the evil side. While he (Mechtavius) did attempt that and won the battle, Dragonoid Destroyer didn't question his loyalty for even a second, telling him (Mechtavius) off immediately. It's not revealed until the next episode why he lost, but it's because he was holding back 30% of his power.
• Directed by Cast Member: The Canadian French dub for the original anime was directed by Nicolas Charbonneaux-Collombet and Sébastien Reding, who also voiced Dan and Marucho respectively.
• Dye Hard: Spectra's not a natural blond. His hair is shown to be pink in flashbacks.
• Foreign Dub as Basis: The Arabic dub of Bakugan Battle Brawlers is based on the Nelvana English dub. It changed the main character's "Americanized" names to Arabic ones.
• International Coproduction: The later seasons of the original series, as well as Battle Planet, are Japanese/Canadian co-productions with Nelvana, TMS Entertainment and toy company Spin Master. Man of Action Studios also assists in the production of Battle Planet.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Insofar as the English dub is concerned. The first season was released on DVD in all English speaking territories and New Vestroia was released on DVD in Canada and Australia. But the last two seasons, Gundalian Invaders and Mechtanium Surge , were never released on DVD. The series was available for digital purchase as it aired on Cartoon Network, but was eventually removed. As of this writing, it's available on Roku Channel, Tubi TV, and Nelvana's own "Cartoon Power Up!" channel on YouTube.
• Late Export for You: New Vestroia combines this with Short Run in Peru by not airing in Japan until a year after it aired in Canada and the United States, same goes with Gundalian Invaders.
• No Export for You: It is very likely that TMS Entertainment will never release Mechtanium Surge in Japan due to how bad Gundalian Invaders performed on Japanese TV. Instead, Japan got a more 'lighthearted' reboot named BakuTech! Bakugan and got its sister series Zoobles to fill its airing spot shoes. This made a lot of Japanese Bakugan Fans disappointed.
  • However, this was averted with the original dub of Mechtanium Surge, which has been available to stream via Bilibili since September 2018, but only for users of that website. The episodes themselves, however, have their OP and ED taken from the second season.
• The Other Darrin:
  • There are several characters in the English dub have more then one actor, but isn't that noticeable (nor are they credited for that matter), Naga in particular had three.
  • The Brazilian dub is notably inconsistent and characters have multiple voice actors throughout seasons. Alice, for example, had more than four different voice actreses through the entire run of New Vestroia. Another notable example is Dan, whose voice was changed halfway through Gundalian Invaders much to the surprise of fans.
• Short Run in Peru: Sort of. Battle Brawlers episodes aired first in their country of origin, Japan. New Vestroia episodes also air in one of their countries of origin...Canada, home to North American distributor Nelvana. New Vestroia aired in Japan A YEAR after it was shown in North America.
• What Could Have Been: According to Jason Deline during an interview, Lyon Smith (Masquerade's voice actor) was originally supposed to voice Drago and even recorded few episodes. The crew thought that his voice didn't fit with Drago's character, so they went with Jason Deline instead.
