  • Named After Somebody Famous: Averted. In his historical note, Bernard Cornwell pointed out that Sir John Cornwaille's last name was sometimes spelled "Cornwell", but he is no relation to the author.
  • What Could Have Been: Michael Mann optioned the right to adapt the book to film, and Michael Hirst was reportedly interested in doing the script, but it languished in Development Hell, and with the release of more recent films about Henry V and Agincourt, including The King, it is unlikely the project will be completed.
