  • Ascended Fanon: The Roleplay introduced a female Nova Storm, a character that had only been male in the official canon. A year later, Transformers: Cyberverse had Nova Storm undergo a Gender Flip, and the change made its way to all subsequent versions of the character.

    • Stonecrusher's favorites are Hot Shot, Lightbright, Arcce, Artillery, and Transmutate.
    • Devaron9's favorite is Tap-Out, while Soundwave is his favorite villain.
    • agentSAP2006's favorite character is also Artillery, but her favorite character to write is Muzzle.
    • Dropkick's favorite is Devcon.
  • Cross Player: Many players registered characters a different gender than themselves:
    • Devaron9 (male) played Sky High, Convex, Nova Storm, Skyburst, Stormclash, Minerva, and Zaptrap (females).
    • Artork312 (male) played Tailgate and Plug (females).
    • Dropkick (male) played Hightail and Arcee (females).
    • Gerth (female) played Wheeljack (male).
    • Ømnidrive (male) played Vocall (female).
    • Olymprix (male) played Retrofit (female).
    • GogoDG (male) played Moonheart and Velocity (females).
    • Stonecrusher (male) played Artillery, Tremor, Sonar, Starfleet, MixMatch, Arcee, Alarmus, A.A.T.A.I.U, Windblade, Andromeda, Cassiopeia, Botanica, Greenjeeper, Snowflake, Rubric, Sunburst, Sablestrike, Nekomimus, Sharpclaw, Drag Strip, Shatter, and Nightracer (female).note
  • Flip-Flop of God: What was Optimus doing on Beest? When asked about it, Stonecrusher claimed that he was actually a quantum duplicate of the Optimus we had seen before... only to later go back on this response a year later.
  • Inspiration for the Work: Stonecrusher has admitted that the comic was inspired by RWBY and My Hero Academia.
  • Line to God: Stonecrusher has a Tumblr blog for Autobot Academy, and has answered many questions about the series there.
  • The Other Darrin:
    • In the final Roleplay arc, Ironfist and Getaway were played by CyberRavager, having gotten permission to use them from their original player Olymprix, who had stopped playing almost a year prior.
    • Artork312's characters Ramjet and Offroad were played by GogoDG and Stonecrusher, respectively, for the final few posts after their original player left the Roleplay.
  • Queer Character, Queer Actor: Archadis and G2 Superion is fabulous are both transgender, though Archadis is a trans man while his player is genderqueer.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The players registered some other characters for the Roleplay that never made any appearances. Some were later canonized through profiles.
    • The experiment that created Ravager was originally going to be trying to make a Decepticon Triple Changer. This change came rather late in his development, as references to the original idea are made in the first arc featuring his components, as well as their profiles.
    • Sureshot would have died in the Siege of Acadeimos, rather than live to become Cardinal Convoy.
    • As revealed here, Artillery wasn't originally going to be a main character, but Stonecrusher decided to increase her role as the series went on.
    • A comic dub was planned, but nothing ever came of it due to a lack of auditions from voice actors.
  • Why Fandom Can't Have Nice Things: Stonecrusher announced that there'd be a break from answering questions asked on the Files of the Autobot Academy Tumblr blog when the majority of them became requests for profiles or spoilers. However, Stone would eventually start answering questions again, though not as frequently.
  • Word of Gay: Stonecrusher compiled a list of characters that are LGBTQIA+, with many of the orientations having not been revealed yet in the series. And this even missed a few characters with confirmed orientations. This would later be updated in a later list.
