  • Acting for Two: Aoi Yūki voices Iona with her other triplet sisters in the drama CD. In the anime, each of the 400-series subs has their own voice actress.
  • Actor Allusion: Nao Tōyama voices Bridge Bunny Shizuka Houzumi who, thanks to her Meganekko - Hime Cut appearance combo, looks suspiciously similar to Choukai.
  • Cross-Regional Voice Acting: In the Latin American Spanish dub of the -Ars Nova DC- movie, the returning cast are still voiced in Argentina, while the new characters that appears in the film were dubbed in Mexico.
  • The Other Darrin: So far, the anime is using an entirely different cast from the Drama CD.
  • Denial of Digital Distribution: A weird case. While the manga is available for print in English by Seven Seas Entertainment, the company doesn't have the english digital distribution rights as those rights are owned by Crunchyroll. As a result, fans can only read the manga digitally legally on the Crunchyroll website or on their manga app but cannot buy the manga on ebook reader platforms like Book Walker or Comixology.
  • Sleeper Hit: No one was expecting Ars Nova, which aired during the Fall 2013 season and whose source manga filled a rather niche readership, to become one of the more acclaimed adaptations during said season. Even better, in the following year, famed magazine Newtype has handed out fan-selected prizes to various shows, and among them Ars Nova won several top prizes (as well as many runner ups), lining it up along hit shows like Kill la Kill note .
  • What Could Have Been: When Discotek Media announced their home video release of the series, they already had a set release date for late 2015 and were only planning a DVD release. They eventually announced that the release would be delayed to a further unknown date, but that they were now planning to release it in a DVD and Blu-Ray combo pack.
