  • Approval of God: Megumi Hayashibara was very satisfied with Allison Keith being selected as the official English voice of Nuku Nuku.
  • Children Voicing Children: Ryunosuke's Italian voice actor, Stefano de Filippis, was only 12 years old when the OVA premiered in Italy.
  • Cross-Dressing Voices: Ryunosuke Natsume is voiced by the female Kazue Ikura.
  • Dueling Dubs: Two English dubs were made for the OVA series. The first was produced by Crusader Video in London and was released in 1994. The second, and most well-known one, was produced by ADV Films in Houston and was released in 2002 on DVD, eight years after the former dub was released. When Discotek Media acquired the license to the series from ADV, the company included both dubs on their Blu-ray and DVD releases.
  • Late Export for You: The first OVA was released in Italy in 1998, six years after its Japanese premiere.
  • Self-Adaptation: Author Yuzo Takada served as a supervisor for the first OVA.
  • Studio Hop:
    • The first OVA was animated by Studio Fantasia and Animate Film. For the TV series and the DASH! OVA, the animation was done at Ashi Productions.
    • The North American home media releases were initially handled by ADV Films. In 2018, the rights were picked up by Discotek Media.
    • The first OVA's sound effects were handled by Daisuke Jinbo back when he was working at Swara Pro, the TV series and DASH! on the other hand were handled by Jun'ichi Sasaki during his tenure at Anime Sound.
