• Missing Episode: Only eleven of the television episodes survived the BBC's tape wiping, though the radio series fared better, and all thirty-three episodes are available with varying degrees of sound quality.
• The Other Darrin: John Barron plays the Dean in series 1 and four of the television series, but is replaced by Ernest Clark in series two and three. Ruth Kettlewell originally plays Mrs. Pugh-Critchley, but is played by Joan Sanderson in the final series and throughout the radio series.
  • Derek Nimmo only plays Newt in the first series of the radio adaptation whilst Jonathan Cecil takes over for the second.
