• What Could Have Been: In most drafts, Riko and Kevin were lovers who split up when Riko cheated with Jean, leading Kevin to transfer to PSU and fall in love with Andrew and Neil. Nora Sakavic has also written blog posts about Alternate Universes where one of the original trio dies.
• Word of God: The main series is entirely from Neil's perspective; other characters' backstories, events set after the books, and discussions about previous drafts are posted on Nora's personal blogs.
