- Divorced Installment: The game started out as a PS2 version of The World Is Not Enough, before it was turned into an original Bond story.
- Dummied Out:
- The PS2 and GameCube versions have an unused map that's just Precious Cargo but with the car replaced with a tank and with more weapons from the on-rails segments.
- The GameCube version retains voice clips for R for a cut training mode. Voice clips describing the stealth system notably make it seem more complex that what's in the final game.
- What Could Have Been:
- The studios' original plan was to bring Roger Moore to reprise his role as Bond.
- John Cleese was initially going to reprise his role as R from The World Is Not Enough, but due to copyright issues, he had to be replaced by Miles Anderson.
- In the original design for Evil Summit, Bond was originally meant to fight a clone of himself rather than Bloch again as the final boss. Malprave also would've survived presumably to return as the villain in a future installment.
