  • Channel Hop: Disney was not involved with Aladdin's Palace, but production company Trimark still was. As a result of this and the latter's merger with Lionsgate, the sequel has been distributed by Lionsgate.
  • Completely Different Title: In China, its title loosely translates to Vigorous.
    • Released in Turkey as Jumping Knight.
    • In Finland, it translates to Yankee at King Arthur's Court.
    • Germany released it as Knightskater.
  • Creator Backlash:
    • Kate Winslet reportedly doesn't have many good things to say about this film, mostly due to bad experiences while filming it; In one interview, she simply named it "a film nobody talks about any more" and moved on.
    • In a 2001 interview with Teen People magazine when asking the cast of American Pie 2 what role in their careers they each regretted taking, Thomas Ian Nicholas named this film as his.
  • Dyeing for Your Art: Kate Winslet was reportedly told to lose weight for her role and became sick as a result.
  • Fake American: Canadian Shane Rimmer plays the coach.
  • He Also Did: From the director of Mannequin and Mr. Nanny...
  • Mid-Development Genre Shift: The original intention was a straight adaptation of A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court with none other than Sean Penn attached in some fashion. At some point, the film got reworked into something more family-friendly, and Sean Penn exited the production as a result.
