  • The Cast Showoff: Some members have special skills outside being an idol and are sometimes given the opportunity to show off. Episodes 327-328 contain many examples.
    • Taniguchi Megu was a rhythmic gymnast.
    • Matsui Sakiko has released a best-selling piano instrumental album, and plays the piano accompaniment in singing contests.
    • Takeuchi Miyu can play the piano, guitar, and trumpet, and has absolute pitch. She's also good at photography.
    • Muto Orin is a national karate champion.
    • Yamauchi Suzuran is a skilled golfer. Sata once brags that his high score is 111, only for her to put him down with her score of 90. They also have a putting match in the show once, which she somehow loses.
    • Nozawa Rena is trilingual (Japanese, English, Indonesian) and has done a gag in her second and third languages.
    • Ma Chia-Ling holds a 3rd level cook certification for Chinese cuisine.
    • Okabe Rin is a talented artist and illustrator. She designed Team 8's mascot (a bee named Eito-kun) as well as a number of official merchandise. In episode 518, a wish-granting episode, she made a welcome board for a fan's upcoming wedding at the latter's best friend's request.
    • Tada Kyoka is ranked fifth nationally in taiko drumming.
    • Kiyoto also often shows his talent in drawing and makeup.
  • Hey, It's That Sound!: Segments are often accompanied by well-known songs, such as "Battle Without Honor or Humanity" for trash talk segments and the Avengers theme in episode 290. The Godfather and various James Bond themes are also popular.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Since it is only broadcast in Japan, overseas fans rely on fansubbed bootlegs to enjoy the show. Averted in 2020 for some Southeast Asian countries when the Gem TV Asia cable channel started rerunning the show's episodes from 2019 (after all, most of the members in the older episodes have graduated).
  • Recycled Set: The Muchaburi Dodgeball ball dispenser is repurposed in episode 400 as the "Grudge Box" before later returned to its original use. The Popularity High-Low signs are used for a different segment in episode 402.
  • Star-Making Role: Appearing regularly in this show for a season or two has helped many members establish their personae and boost their popularity.
    • For this reason, the show has several "golden cushion" episodes in which members compete to win the eponymous cushion which entitles them to become a regular for one season. Okabe Rin, the first golden cushion winner, went from being relatively unknown to ranking in the Elections and becoming captain of Team A.
  • Written by Cast Member: The Delusion Drama segments feature short dramas written by the cast.
