- Tourist Bump: The book is very popular in Japan, Korea and the Philippines, and the Belgian board of tourism took advantage of that to build two monuments to honor the story and for the benefit of East Asian tourists; one is a small statue of Nello and Patrasche in Hoboken, the suburb of Antwerp where many theorize the story takes place, and a marble statue in front of the Antwerp cathedral.
