The Cameo / HappinessCharge Pretty Cure!

Go To

In the first 33 (later 34) episodes, each one of the past Pretty Cures appears briefly in the opening, in a semi-random order (though sometimes, as mentioned by the Mythology Gag page, their appearance relates to either the episode number/title, the character the episode is about, or something that occurs in that episode's plot), starting with Cure Black. Each of them introduces themselves, then they thank the audience for watching the Pretty Cure series for ten years. And if they have one, they will say their catchphrases, unless it doesn't make any sense in that context like Nagisa's "Arienai" translation . Furthermore, at the beginning of the cameo, most of them are posing like in their Transformation Sequence or In the Name of the Moon speech; exceptions are the Fresh Pretty Cures, Cure Moonlight and Cure Marine.

Since episode 6, the official Asahi website has started posting the name of the Cure to present the 10th Anniversary message along each episode summary. Since it posts episode summaries one week in advance, so fans will be able to know one week ahead of time which character will do the message of the week! For the the said page, you can look at it yourselves. Their names are rendered in yellow.

  • All: The backgrounds to each character are the same backgrounds used when a certain character transforms.
  • Episode 1: Mentioned above, the first one is Cure Black.
  • Episode 2: Cure Dream. "Kettei!"translation . Oddly enough, she speaks in her regular voice rather than her more confident and deeper Cure voice.
  • Episode 3: Cure Passion. She also has her Passion Harp. "I will do my best".
  • Episode 4: Cure Moonlight. For some reason, her cameo has a strange close-up.
  • Episode 5: Cure Happy. She has a variation of the normal phrase by not thanking to the audience, but rather saying that's amazing that the series has been going on for ten years. "More, more, more Ultra Happy!"
  • Episode 6: Cure Egret. She says her lines very politely.
  • Episode 7: Cure Aqua. As expected, she's graceful as ever.
  • Episode 8: Cure Pine. Like Cure Passion, she has her Pine Flute, and like Cure Happy, she varies her phrase. And then she just purifies the viewers with her Healing Prayer Fresh when she asks them to support Pretty Cure...
  • Episode 9: Cure Rhythm. Like Egret and Pine she's very polite. And then, similar to her Unflinching Walk, she just walks off the screen...
  • Episode 10: Cure Blossom. She has a similar phrase like Happy, and her eyes are sparkling. She completes her appearance by bowing. When she appears, she performs the sprouting flower hand motions she usually does when she introduces herself.
  • Episode 11: Cure March. Once again, she can't help but squish her fluffy pigtails.
  • Episode 12: Cure Heart. "Kyun~kyun~" has returned!
  • Episode 13: Cure Mint. Her act is similar to Cure Aqua, and Mint is really adorable there.
  • Episode 14: It's the four main heroines, congratulating the franchise on hitting 500 episodes. Cure Fortune is not happy that her introduction is ruined by Lovely and Princess.
  • Episode 15: Cure Melody. Has a noticeable Vocal Evolutionnote  there. Nevertheless, her message becomes really cute when she's winking to the audience like in Suite first ending theme.
  • Episode 16: Cure Berry. Like her teammates, she has her Berry Sword and purifies the viewers with Espoir Shower Fresh. By the way, it's perfect.
  • Episode 17: Cure Rouge. Another Vocal Evolution.note
  • Episode 18: Cure Peach. With her appearance, the Fresh Pretty Cure team is the first team completed (if you don't count the Happiness Charge team). Her animation is very similar to her sister's. She also continues to make sure everyone gets their happiness.
  • Episode 19: Cure Ace. "Bakyun!"
  • Episode 20: Cure Sunshine. Like Cure Blossom, she performs the sprouting flower hand motions when she introduces herself. She also ends hers by winking at the audience.
  • Episode 21: Shiny Luminous. She does her introduction very politely while waving at the audience, and exits by floating off the screen.
  • Episode 22: Cure Beauty. And she's still...well, as beautiful as ever.
  • Episode 23: Cure Bloom. With this, two teams (not counting the 500th episode message) have been completed, and all the lead Cures have given the intro.
  • Episode 24: Cure Lemonade. Much like Cure Blossom, she bows in her appearance.
  • Episode 25: Cure Diamond. Oddly, her design looks slightly off.
  • Episode 26: Cure Beat. Just like when she first fully appeared, she strums her hairspike, letting out a guitar riff.
  • Episode 27: Cure Rosetta. She claps her hands together during the introduction, much like how she did throughout the entire season. Her eyes are closed for the majority of her short screentime.
  • Episode 28: Cure Marine. With this, three teams have been completed. As expected with this energetic nut, she's over-the-top and filled with crazy looks.
  • Episode 29: Cure Peace. She once again plays Jan-Ken-Pon, bringing up scissors.
  • Episode 30: Milky Rose. She waves with her right hand to the audience in the end. Of course, the rose petals are blue.
  • Episode 31: Cure Sunny. Now that's five teams down. She still retains her Kansai accent.
  • Episode 32: Cure Sword. This marks six teams down. It seems that a case of The Other Darrin has been averted, due to her seiyuu being ill since the end of Doki Doki. She also shows her back to the audience like in her Transformation Sequence, but Sword smiles at least here. She also twinkles with her left eye like Cure Heart.
  • Episode 33: Cure Muse. Our second-to-last Cure doing an introduction, also marking seven teams completed. Her harp still sounds amazing.
  • Episode 34: Cure White, making for a pretty nice bookend since Black was the first. In a case of Vocal Evolution, her voice is between the high-pitched voice of Honoka and the lower-pitched voice of Cure White.
