In the first 33 (later 34) episodes, each one of the past Pretty Cures appears briefly in the opening, in a semi-random order (though sometimes, as mentioned by the [[MythologyGag/HappinessChargePrettyCure Mythology Gag]] page, their appearance relates to either the episode number/title, the character the episode is about, or something that occurs in that episode's plot), starting with [[Anime/FutariWaPrettyCure Cure Black]]. Each of them introduces themselves, then they thank the audience for watching the ''Anime/PrettyCure'' series for ten years. And if they have one, they will say their {{Catch Phrase}}s, unless it doesn't make any sense in that context like Nagisa's "Arienai" [[labelnote:translation]]I can't believe this![[/labelnote]]. Furthermore, at the beginning of the cameo, most of them are posing like in their TransformationSequence or InTheNameOfTheMoon speech; exceptions are the ''Anime/{{Fresh Pretty Cure}}s'', [[Anime/HeartcatchPrettyCure Cure Moonlight and Cure Marine]].
