Volume One
- Euphie being humiliated in the middle of a party, by her fiance Prince Algard. Who then declares that she's unfit to be Queen alongside false accusations that she bullied Lainie.
- By Euphie's own admission, she isn't sure what she's supposed to do with her life after she spent it trying to fulfill a role that was cruelly taken away from her.
- For all of Ilia's Comically Serious tendencies, it turns out Ilia didn't have a great family situation either before she became involved in Anise's escapades.
Volume Two
- Lainie Cyan finds out she’s a 'vampire' which causes her to realize all the conflicts that happened when she was around were technically her fault even though she didn't mean to cause them. It was merely because she couldn't control her own powers.
- Lainie Cyan's backstory regarding how she lost her mother and had to live in an orphanage afterwards before her father found her.
- Despite everything he did, it was sad to see Algard be reduced to being a 'test subject' for the sake of the kingdom.
- The normally stoic Queen Sylphine breaks down when the Royal Family meets with Algard after the failed coup. Seeing his actions as a failure to properly raise him.
Volume Three
- Euphie can see that Anise is working herself to exhaustion, and she isn't sure what she's supposed to help.
- Euphie and Anis fight each other for the sake of preventing the other from taking the throne, both for reasons where each of them would rather suffer than let the other condemn themselves.
- Euphie is fully aware that Anis doesn't want to rule the kingdom. Doing so would make it significantly more difficult for her to do her research, which she does for the sole purpose of helping people at large, as she would not only have her own responsibility as a monarch to tend to but would also have to break through the rest of the hierarchy to get anything done, a difficult task considering they've not only gone out of their way to prevent anything that would benefit the peasant population but are also already looking for a spouse for her before she's even taken over.
- Anis wouldn't care if Euphie took over to let her do her research if not for the fact that she has to become a Spirit Contractor in order to do so, turning her immortal and slowly purging her memories and desires in the process.
