Tear Jerker / SWAT Kats

• The destruction of Cybertron, the heroes' Robot Buddy in "The Deadly Pyramid". He was supposed to get better, but they never got around to it.
  • Professor Hackle did mention it'd take years to fix him.
• Razor losing his self-confidence in "Razor's Edge", mistakenly thinking he hurt an innocent old couple. There are a few scenes in the episode where he looks so broken you just want to reach into your screen and give him a hug.
• Also, the fact that this show may never get a revival. An interview with Lance Falk (an artist and writer for the series) confirmed that the chances of it are "zero to less than zero". DVDs are now available, albeit not remastered. Then again, Japan has made anime of The Powerpuff Girls and Lilo & Stitch, so someday there might be an anime for this too.
  • Happy Tear Jerker: There's a Kickstarter for a revival and it's doing great with most of the surviving cast members saying they'd be thrilled to reprise their roles.
• Dr. Zyme's fate. After seeing what a kindhearted idealist he was in Dr. Viper's origin story, his apparent demise in "The Giant Bacteria" seems like such a waste of a gentle and brilliant scientist.
• A minor one in “Mutation City” where Razor was knocked unconscious after the blast and was drowning. T-Bone (after being cured from being a mutated frog), jump in and save him. When he put him on the railing and began to do CPR, T-Bone was scared that Razor really did drowned and slightly begs him to wake up.
