Tear Jerker / Purple Eyes in the Dark

• Shinya's death. Already weak due to injuries from a recent car accident, heads off to find Rinko and jumps from the second floor, to keep Mai out of Sonehara's clutches. The resulting fall caused his already-broken ribs to pierce his lungs. Still clinging on, he shoots Sonehara at the same time as she does and dies. And he was this close to meeting Rinko, after having not seen her for 15 years.
