Tear Jerker / Night of the Living Dead (1990)

• Barbara responds to Ben's "you are losing it, girl" with a speech that is both Awesome and incredibly sad.
  "Whatever I lost, I lost a long time ago. You can talk to me about losing it when you stop screaming at each other like a bunch of two-year-olds."
  • Later, once she just decided to leave the house by foot, she break down into tears once she realize how the zombies are actually slower and weaker than even she thought they were, letting the realization of how pointless everything that transpired in the house beforehand truly was.
• Helen going to the cellar and seeing the zombified Sarah. Rather than go into denial, as her husband later does, she fully understands what has happened and has only a few seconds to call out in despair before she is killed by her own daughter.
  • Later, because Harry is reluctant to shoot the poor zombie girl, he and Ben get into a gunfight, while Barbara puts Sarah down.
• When Ben goes into the cellar and discovers Helen now a zombie, having to kill her too. Then, after having lost everything he argued and fought for in that house by taking shelter in the one place he wouldn't take a step in beforehand, he discovers the blasted key to the pumps outside, in clear view. That appears to be the final straw that breaks his spirit especially due to being the one that dismissed Tom's suggestion of going to look for the key in the cellar as a "dumb idea" and that "they may never find it.", proving him wrong once again.
