Tear Jerker / Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials

• Winston's death where after being bitten by a Crank, he becomes infected. He begs the others to help him so he wouldn't become one of them. Newt hands him a loaded gun and the rest of the group quietly leave. Once they walked far enough, a gunshot is heard. Everyone stops and turns around, already knowing what has happened.
• The last conversation between Thomas and Winston just as the group leaves is also saddening:
  Winston: It's... okay...
  Thomas: (Turns back with tears in his eyes) I'm sorry...
  Winston: Thomas... Take care of them...
  [Thomas finally goes with the others, while Winston only musters a weak smile.]
• Teresa talking to Thomas about her deceased mother, as well as her subsequent betrayal to WCKD. It's an unsettling build up to the shattering of their friendship. Just look at Thomas' face as she confirms her allegiance. It's disbelief and devastation combined.
  Teresa: Do you remember your mother?
  Thomas: I think so.
  Teresa: I remember mine. She was a beautiful woman. Everybody loved her. And before WICKED, she was all I had. When she got sick, I didn't know what to do. I just kept her locked up. Hidden. I thought she'd get better. Every night, she'd make these awful sounds, like screaming. And then, one night, she just stopped. She was finally quiet. I went down to her room. And there was blood everywhere. But she was just sat there, calm. She said she was feeling better. The visions were gone. She'd taken care of them. She took her eyes out, Thomas. There are millions of people suffering out there. Millions of stories, just like mine. We can't turn our backs on them. I won't.
  Thomas: What are you saying?
  Teresa: I'm saying, I want you to understand.
  Thomas: Understand what?
  Teresa: Why I did it. (Cue two white lights appearing behind her from a long distance, revealing themselves to be WCKD helicopters) I'm sorry.
